Caring for your feet Forever!

Healthy FeetHowever, our feet tend to be the part of our body we pay least attention to. We neglect them dreadfully, squeezing them into narrow shoes or torturous high heels. What is our advice to remedy this? From now on, give your feet the extra care they deserve. With Forever Living beauty products and a few handy hints it will be easier than you can imagine. Let us show you how to get your feet in tip top condition!

Pay Attention for

After summer, dryness and even small cracks in our skin can appear with alarming speed. But it needn’t be like that: you just need to take the appropriate measures. Wash your feet daily, either in the morning or in the evening, with a gentle gel such as Aloe Bath Gelee or Aloe Liquid Soap. Then, dry carefully, especially between the toes where the warm humidity can encourage fungal growth. Once properly dry, it is time to moisturize. Aloe Propolis Crème or Aloe Moisturizing Lotion are particularly suited for this. Squeeze a hazelnut sized portion of cream onto your hand and massage gently into your foot with small, circular movements, covering the whole sole of your foot, the instep and your toes. In covering the whole sole of your foot, the instep and your toes. In case of severely dehydrated skin, apply a large amount of cream to your feet before bed, pop a pair of socks on and let the product soak in overnight. The following morning your skin will be beautifully soft and renewed.

Pay Attention for

Who hasn’t had to suffer thick and swollen legs after a long time standing, sitting or walking? The summer heat only makes things worse. Why? Because due to the higher temperatures the veins in our legs dilate, blood is transported to the heart with greater effort and ends up accumulating in our feet. A good remedy for this is a cool foot bath with, for example Aloe Bath Gelee followed by a massage. We recommend Aloe Heat Lotion for the massage because it stimulates circulation and helps drain the liquid accumulated in your feet more rapidly.

Extra Tips for

  • Walk barefoot regularly
take off your souse whenever possible and let the fresh air get to your feet. It is comfortable and healthy, stimulating circulation in the reflex areas of the soles of your feet and creating a sensation of relaxation and well-being. If possible, walk on different types of flooring to strengthen the muscles in your feet and toes.
  • Walk as often as possible
walking up stairs, taking a stroll or simply walking from A to B, strengthens the muscles in your legs and feet. An extra bonus is the improvement you will notice in your from and fitness.
  • Foot training
do regular exercise specifically for your feet. Pick up objects with your toes or use a foot massager with roller balls or a goose-bump ball to stimulate circulation and relax your feet wonderfully.
  • Avoid high heels and pointy shoes
if the heels are very high your feet slide towards the tip, squeezing your toes uncomfortably. This cuts circulation and encourages the apparition of varicose veins.
  • Change shoes regularly
if possible, everyday. It is especially important to change the type of footwear, the width of the shoe and the height of the heel.
  • Do something for your feet first thin it the morning
hot and cold alternating showers stimulate circulation. A foot massage after your morning shower will leave your feet feeling great.

Attention if you Have

Everyone sweats, some more than others. Sweating is healthy in itself as it is the bodies natural way of regulating its own temperature. But if we put our sweaty feet into socks and / or tight shoes, the seat rapidly decomposes and bacteria proliferate, causing a disagreeable smell.

This is easy to avoid! The simplest remedy against cheesy feet is to wash your feet under running water with a gentle lotion such as Aloe Bath Gelee or Aloe Liquid Soap or to enjoy a relaxing foot bath.

It is also extremely important to use appropriate footwear. We recommend leather or cotton shoes, together with natural fiber socks, such as pure cotton, which allows the feet to breathe. If the feet are well ventilated there can be no risk of smelliness.

Healthy Feet with Healthy Nails

The crown on a pair of healthy feet is a set of well cared for toenails. We mustn’t forget them in our daily ablutions. Here are a few handy hints for optimum nail care: cut the nails regularly, preferably every three to four weeks. Cut them straight with a pair of nail scissors or nail cutters and file the corners with a nail file. This will eliminate any rough edges or sharp corners and avoid any damage to your toes, especially if you wear narrow shoes. Take care not to cut the nails too short or the can become ingrown.

Excess cuticle can be removed after a footbath with a wooden cuticle remover. Never use scissor or clippers here because the cuticle is very sensitive and easily damaged. For a perfect finish, use a buffer to give your nails a brilliant shine. If you want to attract those admiring glances, apply bright varnish or a “French Manicure”, with the tips of the nails a bright white and the rest a beige or pink varnish.

Just been your article on things you can do for your feet, thank you so much for doing it! I’m ashamed to admit that I suffer with hard skin and sweat but never knew that socks or shoes I wear could make a difference. Definitely gonna keep my eye out for some aloe based products too!
